Hello, my name is Frankie Waters and I’m 12 years old. My hobbies are Archery, Taekwondo, and restoring my 1967 Mustang Fastback. Ever since I was little I’ve been interested in cars. When my dad got his 1967 Mustang Fastback, I really liked the style of the Mustang. I also liked the idea of working on the car. All of the things people do to old cars made me want my own.
I have my own 1967 Mustang Fastback just like my dad. I earned my car from Archery, by getting a certain amount of points. So, we were looking on websites for old cars that needed a lot of love. One day my grandpa told us that he found this really good deal on a 1967 Mustang Fastback. My dad and grandpa went to look at the car and it turns out that the car was sitting in this guy’s backyard since 1986! We couldn’t pass up the deal, so we got the car!
I have quite a few things that I’ve done and a lot of things I want to do in the future. So far, I’ve taken the transmission out, replaced the tires and taken off sheet metal. I’ve also had someone sand blast the engine compartment. After that, I primed the engine compartment. Some of the things I want to do to the car include getting a new transmission, finishing my 460 motor, and working on the interior of my car. Also, I want to get an electrical system, and get the exterior paint done.
I’m learning so much, and am really excited to share this information with everyone!
